After a frustrating start to the season, Tommy and the Arden team are all looking forward to a successful second half to the season.

The Banbury-based team have seven podiums to date in the category this season, with the focus now shifting to an even stronger second half of the campaign.

Donington Park race-winner Bart Horsten has led the charge for the Red Arrows thus far, with the Australian’s silverware-laden form keeping him in title contention.

Team-mates Tommy Foster and Alex Connor have equal reason to be optimistic, with the pair showing good promise in recent times and the points finishes to back it up.

Undeniably, Foster has had the pace – pole position at Thruxton stands as a highlight of the Cornish racer’s start to life in British F4 – but not quite the luck to bring home headline results so far.

For Connor, there is an added incentive in the Rookie Cup stakes. Having been forced to miss the season-opener due to his age, the 15-year old has since put in ten class podium finishes – including a win – from his twelve races so far to close in on the top three.

The weekend’s competitive action kicks off with that all-important qualifying session at 10:55 on Saturday, ahead of the opening race at 16:25.

Sunday features a double-header, at 12:15 and 16:40, with both races set to enjoy a capacity trackside crowd and extensive coverage on ITV4’s live, free-to-air television coverage.

Arden British F4 Team Manager, Gary Ward:

“As a team, we can’t wait to get the second half of the British F4 season underway. The drivers and everybody back at base have been putting in a tremendous amount of effort during the break, and I think that’ll show in our performance at Snetterton this weekend.

“Bart will no doubt be looking to keep bringing home the silverware, and it’s definitely time Tommy and Alex joined him up there on the podium; they’ve been quietly banking points and improving at every round – I think we’ll really see that start to pay off as the season wears on.”

Tommy Foster (#53):

“Even though it’s been a frustrating start to the season in places, I’m not despondent and I’m resolving to fight back and get my season back on course, starting this weekend at Snetterton.

“We’ve had the pace all season, just not quite the luck needed – everybody at Arden Motorsport has been doing a fantastic job, and together we’ll be in good shape this weekend.”
